How to reach Koh Lanta

From Phuket

Speedboat or ferry

From Phuket Airport, you first take a transfer to Rassada Pier in Phuket Town. From there, you can travel as a passenger by speedboat or ferry to Saladan Pier on Koh Lanta.

This is a great option if you enjoy traveling by sea. Direct boat services are mainly available during the high season and can depend on weather conditions.

Minivan or private transfer

A minivan or private car can pick you up at Phuket Airport or T your hotel and take you all the way to Koh Lanta. The vehicle boards the car ferry for the short crossing and then continues by road to your accommodation.

This is the easiest option if you have children, lots of luggage or simply want a door-to-door transfer.

From Krabi

Minivan or private transfer

A minivan or private car can pick you up at Krabi Airport, Krabi Town or your hotel and take you directly to Koh Lanta.

The vehicle drives all the way to the island and boards the car ferry for the short crossing. You stay in the same vehicle throughout the journey, which then continues directly to your accommodation on Koh Lanta.

This is one of the easiest and most popular ways to reach Koh Lanta from Krabi.

Ferry

You can also travel as a passenger by ferry from Klong Jilad Pier in Krabi Town to Saladan Pier on Koh Lanta.

You will need to arrange transport from Krabi Airport or your hotel to the pier, and then arrange transport from Saladan Pier to your accommodation.

Speedboat

During the high season, you can also travel by speedboat from the Krabi area. Depending on the operator, boats can depart from Klong Jilad Pier in Krabi Town or from the Ao Nang area.

You travel as a passenger and arrive at Saladan Pier on Koh Lanta. Boat services are seasonal and can depend on weather conditions.

Arriving on Koh Lanta

When you arrive at one of the piers on Koh Lanta, tuk-tuks are available to take you to your accommodation. You can also arrange a pickup in advance.
